CIIE is Well Received Abroad

SHANGHAI, December 24, 2019 – The third Chinese International Trade Fair CIIE, which will offer quick and easy access to the Chinese market, is scheduled for November 5 to November 10, 2020 in Shanghai.

 

The Chinese International Import Fair (CIIE), which is considered to be the main platform that demonstrates China’s determination to deepen its economic globalization, has been warmly received abroad.

 

Between 8 and 16 December, roadshows were held in Spain, Greece and Belarus under the leadership of the CIIE office organizer, organizer of the event, inviting local businesses to participate in the next year.

Dimitris Kourkoules, a former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, who was impressed by the opportunities offered by the import trade fair, said that Greek companies achieved fruitful results during the second trade fair, which helped to increase exports and reduce the trade deficit between the two countries.

 

Kourkoules, also a member of the Board of Directors of Enterprise Greece, also expressed his hope that his country would be able to attend the next event in November 2020.

 

Belarus, a two-year CIIE participant and a faithful friend of China, also attaches great importance to the fair next year, said Vladimir Ulakhovich, President of the Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

Ulakhovich highlighted the fair as the main platform for examining the Chinese market by Belarusian companies.

 

The Sino-Belarusian Industrial Park, known as the Great Stone Industrial Park, was represented at the second CIIE fair on an exhibition area of ​​120 square meters. This park has become one of the major projects under the Belt and Path initiative.

 

The second CIIE, held from 5 to 10 November, attracted more than 3,800 businesses from 181 countries, regions and international organizations, with planned stores for one-year purchases of goods and services totaling $ 71.13 billion, which is 23 percent more than in 2018.
